About Casey
I was born in Czarny Dunajec, a small town located in the southernmost region of Poland called Podhale, next to the Tatra Mountains. For those interested in history, the Emperor of Austria once granted my hometown with the status of a state/country.
Upon completing Elementary School in Czarny Dunajec, I continued my education at the regional High School in Nowy Targ. Within one week of my graduation in 1967, my mother, brother, and me emigrated to the United States to rejoin our father in Chicago.
Upon arrival, I enrolled at one of Chicago’s community colleges. Two-years later, I transferred to the University of Illinois where I majored in Computer Science. During my time at the University of Illinois, I was honored to have the opportunity to work with a Polish computer scientist that worked on advanced algorithms. As a student, I also helped establish two organizations: The Polish American Student Association (PASA) and The Joseph Conrad Yacht Club (JCYC).
Upon my graduation in 1971 with an Engineering Degree in Computer Science, I started my Information Technologies career. My professional career in Information Technologies involved three companies: Aldens, Zenith Radio Corporation, and the Northern Trust Bank where I spent 20 years. For the past fifteen years, I have been involved in leadership positions with various American civic and Polish-American organizations. Those positions include the following:

I am the proud father of two beautiful daughters: Diana and Michelle. Michelle received a Master of Architecture degree from IIT and Diana received her MBA from the University of Loyola. Both daughters, Michelle with her husband Lee and Diana with her husband Ryan, live in the Chicago area. A year ago, I also became a proud grandfather to Maddie and Sophie, who recently celebrated their first birthdays.
In addition to my Real Estate Management business, whenever time permits, I enjoy participating in activities that include the Chicago boating community, attendance at the local Heartland Institute and Chicago Council on Global Affairs events, as well as the lecture series at Fermi Labs in Batavia. I immensely enjoy traveling to faraway places such as India, China, and Middle East countries such as Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. I complement my leisure time by reading books and attending an occasional opera at Chicago’s Civic Opera House.
I made a promise to my family that despite the hectic pace of a campaign, quality time with my family will always be of paramount importance to me.
