Welcome to the first edition of Straight Talk with Casey, your direct connection to my campaign for United States Senate on behalf of our great state of Illinois.
I’m Casey Chlebek, and I’m running to represent the state of Illinois in the United States Senate with honesty, strength, and common-sense solutions. If you’re tired of career politicians, overreaching government, and failed policies, this campaign—and this newsletter—is for you.
This campaign is about restoring common sense, protecting American families, and ensuring Illinois leads in prosperity once again. This is Volume 4, but some of you who have been following my journey for several years, you may remember as my Casey’s Key Pointe newsletter from the 2022 campaign.
Let’s Make America the Greatest Nation Again (MAGNA)
This Straight Talk with Casey newsletter will be published monthly—both in print and digital form—through the Illinois Primary Election on March 17, 2026. In each issue, I’ll explore one pillar of my domestic agenda to Make America the Greatest Nation Again (MAGNA) in greater detail.
If I emerge victorious from the Primary Elections in 2026, then the monthly Straight Talk with Casey newsletters will be dedicated to the discussions and alternatives of the MULA (Making U.S. Loved Again), foreign policy agenda.
In this inaugural campaign edition, I’m providing an overview of all seven core MAGNA priorities. These ideas form the backbone of my domestic policy platform for 2026. The 7 Pillars of the MAGNA Agenda:
Abolish Property Taxes
Abolish IRS Taxes on Retirement Income
Abolish Social Security Taxes
No Federal Taxes for individuals under 23, or under 26 for full-time students and married couples
Five-Year Tax Holiday for all new small businesses
Free Prescription Drugs for seniors, disabled citizens, and veterans
Restore Dignity Through Work and Ownership, and just as the President Trump, I want to work for you for free - not by taking a salary
These proposals are bold—but they are necessary. Americans are overtaxed, underserved, and underestimated. It’s time to change that.
Like President Trump, I will fight for these reforms in Washington because they represent fairness, freedom, and opportunity for everyday Americans.
"Freedom starts with financial independence. We should reward hard work—not penalize it." - Casey Chlebek
My Foreign Agenda: Making the U.S. Loved Again (MULA)
While MAGNA focuses on rebuilding America from within, the MULA Agenda to make the U.S. Loved Again — turns our attention outward. It’s about restoring America’s role in the world by leading with strength, earning respect, and promoting lasting stability.
I have great respect for President Trump. His willingness to challenge global systems that have taken advantage of the United States reflects his deep commitment to the American people. That kind of bold leadership is rare.
At the same time, I believe our foreign policy must evolve. We are at a turning point that calls for a more sober, strategic, and principled approach—one that works in harmony with President Trump’s instincts, but steers us away from unnecessary conflicts and provocations.
If we truly want to lead—not through domination, but through partnership—then we need a new doctrine. I call it President Trump’s Calling Shots, or the PTCS Doctrine, built on four core principles:
Parity — Fair, reciprocal relationships with allies and trading partners
Trust — Restoring integrity in global commitments
Cooperation — Working with others when it serves American interests
Stability — Avoiding needless interventions that cause long-term chaos
Right now, we are far from this vision. Too often, the U.S. is seen not as a stabilizing leader but as a power that relies on military force, covert influence, and sanctions to achieve its goals. That perception weakens our alliances, empowers our adversaries, and burdens American families with the cost.
I take no pleasure in saying this, but I believe we must be honest about the course we’re on. The world is increasingly unstable. And unless we chart a new path, we risk drifting toward greater global conflict.
The MULA Agenda is my roadmap forward—one that restores American leadership with clarity, conviction, and integrity. I believe Illinois—and America—are ready for it.
Together, MAGNA and MULA also complement my commitment to Make America Safe and Secure Again, which I introduced during my 2022 campaign. That vision remains relevant, but in this 2026 cycle, my domestic agenda will take center stage as the most urgent and transformative set of legislative proposals I will pursue as your next U.S. Senator.
Expanding on my MAGNA Agenda – Making America Greatest nation Again
Abolish Property Taxes
For too long, hardworking Americans—especially middle-class homeowners—have carried the burden of ever-increasing property taxes. You don’t just pay your mortgage; you also pay into local treasuries year after year, with little relief—even if you’re retired, sick, or between jobs. Miss a payment, and you risk losing your home altogether. That’s not fairness—that’s failure by design.
Unlike many countries where property taxes don’t exist, our system puts the weight of public funding squarely on homeowners. It’s time to reverse that. Local services can and should be funded in other ways—not on the backs of struggling families.
At minimum, we must immediately abolish property taxes for seniors, disabled citizens, and veterans. States like Florida have already taken steps in this direction. But this is not just a state issue—it’s a national one. And as your U.S. Senator, I’ll fight to make sure that relief reaches every American, no matter where they live.
Abolish IRS Taxes on Retirement Income
Retirement savings should be sacred. Whether through IRAs or 401(k)s, Americans spend a lifetime preparing for financial security—only to face taxes on their distributions when they need that money most. The IRS-required minimum distributions (RMDs) are especially punitive.
I support legislation to completely eliminate federal taxes on retirement income, with exceptions only for early withdrawals. These are your hard-earned dollars, and you deserve to keep them in full—without government penalties.
Abolish Social Security Taxes
Social Security was created to provide support—not serve as another revenue stream for the government. Taxing benefits that are already funded by your payroll contributions is not just unnecessary—it’s morally indefensible.
Many in Congress don’t rely on Social Security and have lost touch with the realities retirees face. That must change. Like President Trump, I support fully abolishing federal taxes on Social Security income. Our seniors deserve peace of mind—not a surprise bill from the IRS.
No Federal Taxes for Young Adults
Launching a career or starting a family is hard enough. We shouldn’t punish young Americans with high taxes at the exact moment they’re trying to build a future.
That’s why I propose no federal income tax for individuals under 23—and up to 26 for full-time students or married couples. This would encourage higher education, early family formation, and long-term financial stability. In fact, I would even support an additional three-year tax break for couples who marry before age 30.
Let’s invest in the next generation by letting them keep more of what they earn in their early years.
Five-Year Tax Holiday for Small Businesses
The first five years of a small business are the most critical—and the most vulnerable. Nearly half of all new businesses fail during this time, often crushed by taxes and red tape.
I propose a five-year federal tax holiday for all new small businesses. This would give entrepreneurs the breathing room to grow, hire, and innovate—without being strangled by government overreach. Other countries have already adopted similar models with great success. It’s time we do the same here in America.
Free Prescription Drugs for Seniors, Disabled Citizens, and Veterans
Prescription drug costs are out of control. Even with insurance, patients are often stuck paying outrageous prices—while pharmaceutical companies rake in massive profits. I’ve seen it firsthand. A medication that cost $65 after insurance deductions at one pharmacy cost less than $12 elsewhere.
We need transparency, competition, and compassion. That’s why I’m calling for free prescription medications for seniors, disabled citizens, and veterans. By eliminating price gouging and waste, we can fund this without raising taxes or expanding bureaucracy.
President Trump in his “Big and Beautiful Bill” takes a bold step to eliminate the shenanigans of the PHARMA rip-off practices and overhaul the prescription drugs pricing, but I believe that without any doubt, none, that all prescriptions drugs and medications should be free for the most vulnerable, our Seniors, Disabled Citizens and Veterans.
7. I Will Work for You for a Cause — Not for a Salary
I want to work for you for free - not by taking a salary from the US Government. I’ve made a personal commitment: if elected, I will not take a Senate salary. I will accept just one dollar annually. The rest will be directed to a charitable foundation supporting causes across Illinois and the United States.
This isn’t about grandstanding. It’s about restoring integrity to public service. Like President Trump, I believe serving our country is a higher calling—not a paycheck.
